Accidents do happen and a condom may break while your most intimate moments. At such a situation, you must not panic and calmly take some appropriate steps to avoid any problem for the future.

If condom break before the male has ejaculated, they can be quickly replaced with new ones. Even if the condoms break after the ejaculation, there is no need to panic. Women can apply twice the spermicide into their vaginas at an urgent basis. The next security step is for the couple to wash their hands well with soap and water and get rid of any left over semen on the body that may have escaped out. This, however, is not a contraceptive method and must be backed with some other emergency contraceptive methods such as oral pills for the females.

After this incident, you must immediately contact your health care doctor or a resource center for having a detailed knowledge and tests about sexually transmitted diseases and pregnancy tests. The sooner you get your problems diagnosed, the better it is.

Condoms break accidentally as well as due to poor storage. It is important store your condoms at a place that is away from direct sunlight and is cool. The storage spacxe must be dry and hygienic. When you buy condoms, make sure you check their expiry date and never use an expired condom. In general, after five years of their manufacture, condoms are considered to be expired. If the condoms contain spermicide also, they get expired after two years of their manufacture.
